2023 Texas A&M BAJA Team
Following the completion of the 2022 season, the 2023 Texas A&M SAE BAJA team was selected and they hit the ground running on their new design. Starting from a first principles approach, the team broke down the most important areas of the competition and the lessons learned from previous years and they developed a design philosophy for the vehicle. This philosophy would be the leading principles that that they would design their vehicle and make decisions around. Additionally the team was very intentional on the culture they created from the start of the season, emphasizing the cross team communication, constructive criticism, and working hard together. Despite working internships and taking online classes, our students worked diligently over the summer to complete research on the different areas of the vehicle and work forward towards their design.
By using gantt charts and various other KPI’s, the team is tracking their design progress and will be on track to complete their vehicle build in the next year. Every year the team relies on the generous donations of individuals and companies to fund the manufacturing of their vehicles, and this year’s team is no different.
