Texas A&M Formula SAE Electric
Purpose
The purpose of the Texas A&M Formula Electric FSAE Team is to develop engineers who excel in the field of sustainable transportation engineering, primarily through the hands-on design, manufacturing, and testing of an electric formula-style vehicle.
Vision Statement
Our vision is to produce the highest caliber of engineering students by designing, building, and competing with an electric racecar. Through continuous improvement, teamwork, and a commitment to engineering principles and safety, we strive to create a foundation for success.
About Us
The Texas A&M Formula SAE Electric (FSAE EV) Team was established in the Spring of 2021 as the first fully electric team within Texas A&M SAE. Recognizing the growing importance of electric vehicles in the automotive landscape, a dedicated group of 21 engineering students embarked on the ambitious journey of designing, building, and competing with a Formula E style race car in the SAE International Collegiate Design Series.
Since our inception, we have grown in both size and experience. We are proud to have successfully designed, manufactured, and tested multiple iterations of our electric race car, learning and improving with each competition cycle. Our team comprises students from a diverse range of engineering disciplines and beyond, fostering a collaborative environment where different perspectives drive innovation.
At TAMU FSAE EV, we are committed to providing our members with invaluable hands-on engineering experience, from conceptualization and simulation to fabrication, testing, and project management. We strive to not only build a competitive electric vehicle but also to cultivate the next generation of leaders and innovators in sustainable transportation. Our journey is one of continuous learning, teamwork, and a shared passion for pushing the limits of electric vehicle technology.
We are currently working on the next generation of TAMU FSAE EV Car - AME25 which will compete at the Michigan International Speedway in June 2025.
